Getting Grounded Before the Weather Changes
September 9, 2026 · Christina Erl

Something not to be overlooked as we move into the Fall is the forecast because the remainder of September feels like an invitation to get grounded, rooted and spend some time in Nature.
The astrology suggests that October and November may bring one of the more intense and stormy periods of 2026.
I don't say that to create fear.
Quite the opposite.
There is wisdom in knowing that a storm may be coming.
If I hear we're about to get a lot of rain, I don't panic.
I get a raincoat.
I pay attention.
There may be literal storms ahead. Saturn retrograde conjunct Neptune in Pisces, alongside Rahu in Aquarius, creates a striking combination of air, wind and water — one that could correspond with some strong, wet and windy weather.
But the storms may also be symbolic.
We may see an intensification of the upheaval already happening around leadership, institutions and structures of power.
Ketu remains in the final degrees of Leo — the sign associated with royalty, leadership, celebrity and positions of power — while Rahu moves through Aquarius, associated with the people, rebellion, innovation and the greater good.
These karmic nodes are the eclipse points and powerful activators of change. Ketu separates and liberates. Rahu amplifies desire and pushes us toward unfamiliar territory.
The nodes prepare to change signs this November, but their work in Leo and Aquarius is not yet complete.
Some might say the climax is yet to come.
Whatever unfolds, I find myself less interested in predicting exactly what the storm will bring and more interested in asking:
How rooted are we?
What do we hold onto when the winds begin to blow?
How can we support others who feel afraid of change?
What practices bring us back to ourselves and to Nature?
What does Nature teach us about weathering change?
Perhaps this is the deeper teaching of the season… we don't need to control the weather.
We need to learn how to live wisely within it.
And if you find yourself to be someone who is not feeling the effects of these stormy times we're living in ~ how wonderful.. and maybe take a moment to consider... perhaps you are one of the souls here to hold space and support others having a harder time with embracing the unknown.
What medicine do you carry within you for the world and how can you share it for the highest good of all?
