What is Jyotish?

Vedic astrology, or Jyotish, is an ancient system of astrology rooted in the wisdom traditions of India. Jyotish means “the science of light” — a way of illuminating the patterns, tendencies and deeper currents woven through a life.

I don’t approach astrology as a fixed prediction of what will happen to you. I see the birth chart as a mirror: a symbolic map of the psyche that can reveal something of your nature, your gifts, your shadows and the cycles you are moving through. The intention isn’t to tell you who you are, but to help you see more clearly what may already be asking to be known.

A few questions before we begin..

Do I need to know anything about astrology?

Not at all. You don't need any prior knowledge of astrology to receive a reading.

Do I need my exact birth time?

An accurate birth time is important for a full Vedic birth chart reading. However, if you're unsure of yours, send me a message and we can talk about the ways we work with approximate and unknown birth times. It's still very possible to have a full reading.

What's the difference between a birth chart and transit reading?

Your birth chart reflects the sky at the moment you were born. A transit reading looks at the planetary movements happening now and how they interact with your natal chart, offering insight into the particular season of life you're moving through.

Are readings available online?

Yes. Readings are available in person in qathet on BC's Sunshine Coast and by video call anywhere in the world.
